Enjoy Some Late Night Fizz At The QVB’s New Champagne Bar

By: Flora James, 12 April 2019

It’s no secret that Sydneysiders love the Queen Victoria Building—one of the most iconic buildings in the CBD. Thanks to its green copper domes and elaborate Romanesque architecture, it has become an elegant destination for retailers, cafes and coffee shops in recent years—and it’s about to become home to something even swankier.

Yup, a regal, royal-inspired champagne bar has opened—and you can bet your bottom dollar that it’s bedecked in plenty of marble, brass and musky pink. Aptly named Reign at the QVB, this gorgeous space is offering 150—and a little bit louder for those in the back—one hundred and fifty varieties of champagne and sparkling wine.

In terms of food (because we’re not irresponsible—we know the importance of sustenance with our bubbles), there are dishes like blistered Padron peppers and goat cheese tortellini, plus pork fried rice and an Okonomiyaki burger gracing the menu.

One of the many best parts Reign at the QVB? The bar will be open from Thursday to Sunday until 2am, plus daily for lunch and dinner—so you can swing by for a glass or two (or three, or four) the next time you’re in the city.

Bottoms up!
