‘Cause sometimes, you just wanna go on holiday with the whole family, pooches and all. It can be tough leaving them behind when you want to get away, and if you’re experiencing separation anxiety at the prospect, you’ll want to head somewhere that welcomes your furry family members with open arms.

These places are the perfect destination for a getaway, with the four-legged among us as well.

The Langham

Enjoy the ultimate luxury for yourself and your puppy at one of Sydney’s premier hotels, The Langham. Proud to be the city’s only pet-friendly accommodation amongst Sydney’s luxury hotels, The Langham offers the same renowned 5-star service for pets as it does for their humans. As part of the Pampered Pets Program, pet-sitting and walking services are available on request should you want an evening away from your hound.

Note that for the consideration of other guests, dogs must be less than 20kg in weight and are not to be left unaccompanied in rooms.

Lillanfels Blue Mountains Resort & Spa

Just 90 minutes’ drive from Sydney CBD, Lilianfels in the Blue Mountains Resort & Spa is a haven for relaxation; set against the picture-perfect, rugged mountain backdrop amongst abundant wildlife and with a host of scenic attractions right at your doorstep.

Another one that’s perfect for pampered pooches, Lillanfels allows you to bring your dog with you to enjoy the wilderness of the Blue Mountains and its luxurious setting. Their Bring Your Own Dog package is ideal if you want to spend some quality time with your hound, as it includes being put up in a Deluxe Resort View Room with a dog bed, bowl and treat for your canine counterpart, as well as a room service breakfast delivered straight to you. Perfection!

The Old Clare Hotel

Old Clare Hotel Pet Friendly

This heritage-listed boutique hotel in Chippendale became the talk of the town after it's stylish renovation a few years ago, and is now offering two new pet-friendly suites so you can share the love with your canine companion. The Old Clare Hotel's Kent and Abercrombie rooms include a mini retro-style lounge, complimentary pet in-room dining all day, handmade doggy bowls, plush toys, and an Old Clare’s pet directory full pet animal-friendly services and places to go.

You can bring up to two furry friends per room at a rate of $100 per pet added to the room rate.

Bilpin Lodge

It’s no secret that we are big Bilpin Lodge fans. It’s a family-friendly favourite in the Blue Mountains - set on over 10 acres of gardens, farm and bushland; meaning your dog is likely to have the most pawfect time of their lives.

There's a dedicated kennel area and yard for dogs with three separate kennels available - all in different sizes, to make sure that small, medium and large pooches are all kept cosy and comfortable in an environment that’s suited for them. And while they’re making the most of their luxurious surrounds, you’ll be getting cosy in front of the fire, playing chess or enjoying a dip in the outdoor spa.

Le Petit Palais

For cultured canines, Le Petit Palais is a romantic, French provincial villa located in Thirlmere. Decorated with traditional French provincial charm and complete with canopied beds, clawfoot baths, private spa rooms and a European wood-burning sauna, this gorgeous accommodation is pet-friendly on request—giving your pooch the full French experience without the hassle of a long-haul flight!

Manly's Hidden Gem

Enjoy a Sydneyside staycay with your canine companion in the picture-perfect suburb of Manly. Manly's Hidden Gem is a family-run set of apartments and one cottage is located on sprawling grounds, just a few minutes walk away from the idyllic Manly Beach, where there happen to be a few off-leash spots that your little mate will love to explore.

When booking, make sure you let them know that you’ll be travelling with a Very Important Pooch (VIP), and they’ll make sure you’re booked into the correct, pet-friendly apartment.
