Like all the libraries this side of the Pacific, Peters Township Public Library in the US state of Pennsylvania is now closed, but one of their clever librarians has created an extraordinary new way to while away the self-distancing hours, inspired by one of the worlds most beloved book series.

In fact, all our Escape Rooms are now closed too, so this little stroke of wizardry is an ingenious innovation and the perfect self-isolation boredom buster. The Hogwarts Digital Escape Room is casting its charms across the globe as Harry Potter devotees visit the famous school of witchcraft and wizardry, and test their skills on a range of challenges. 

This fun, free (but unofficial) online adventure uses images, book excerpts and film clips to challenge muggles as they progress through the game. You are cast as a first-year student at Hogwarts’ and must solve riddles, exchange currency and learn spells to weave your way its grand chambers and hallowed hallways.

Fans of the epic wizarding world will love this mysterious journey and can take the family along for the ride to experience the Escape Room together.
