Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary - Fig Tree Pocket

Can you believe our beloved koalas were once culled for their fur? It was during this time, in 1927, that Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary opened its doors to create a refuge for sick and injured koalas. Since then it has expanded to welcome visitors from all over the country and the world. More than a tourist experience, visitors learn of the conservation of our beloved furry friends and contribute to their wellbeing.

ellaslist opinion: No visit is complete without cuddling a koala, and you can also hold a crocodile or a snake if you're game. Check out the photo wall for all the celebs that have done it before you.
