By: Flora James, 07 August 2024

Beach camping in NSW is one of the best ways to spend a family holiday as it combines the stunning outdoors with family bonding time, and you can't beat those beach camping prices!

So, what beaches can you camp on in NSW? NSW is full of picture-perfect beach campsites, from the North Coast to the South Coast, and some of them are right on the beach. But not all NSW beaches were made for beach camping, and you can't just show up on any old beach and pitch a tent for the night, so it's best to do your research before you go.

A lot of NSW's national parks offer free campsites close to natural waterways and beaches, so check ahead on the park's website before you go. But if you're keen to sleep right next to the surf at some of NSW's most popular beaches, here are our favourite spots that come with incredible campsites for those neverending summer holidays.
