Bubble Tents Have Arrived So You Can Sleep Under The Stars In Style

By: Alex Harmon, 26 July 2019

Friends ever say to you that you must be living in a bubble? Mine say it to me all the time when I reveal things like I have never watched an episode of Game of Thrones or eaten a donut-croissant hybrid. Well, I've finally found the perfect holiday where I can escape all this ridicule and completely switch off in nature. Sleeping in a bubble tent has been on my bucket list since I saw them pop up in a secret forest in Iceland. Now they have arrived in NSW, and even though you can't view the northern lights, the spectacular canopy of stars found in regional NSW looks pretty good from one of these transparent tents.

Where Can I Find It?

The exact location is a secret but you'll find them somewhere on a 1000+ acre property between Mudgee and Lithgow NSW, around 200km northwest of Sydney. Bubble Tent Australia overlooks Capertee Valley which is the second largest canyon in the world - wider than the Grand Canyon (maybe I have been living in a bubble because I did not know this!).

Check-In And Pop

The bubble might look basic but it is anything but. This glamping experience gives guests a composite toilet; running water; a telescope for space exploration; and an iPad with bird-watching and star-gazing apps, as well as curated playlists, to add to the tranquillity. Bliss! As the sun goes down, cosy up to a warm fire with a glass of red in your hand or lay back on the super comfy queen bed while you get acquainted with the stars.

Clear Your Head

After spending the night in your crystal clear hotel, why not try something that will make you feel even closer to nature, things on offer in this region include helicopter tours, wine tours, bird watching, hiking, abseiling, canoeing, fishing and eco-tours.

The Details

A night in a bubble tent starts from $370pn midweek. $570 on Friday and Saturday. Check out the website for more details.
