Towards the west end of the Hawkesbury River at the foothills of the Blue Mountains, you’ll find the Burralow Creek Campground.

This is remote bushland camping at its best with much to explore including rainforest gullies, waterfalls and bush walks galore. It’s important to note that this Burralow Creek Campground is located in a national park so it’s best to check out all the rules and regulations for camping ahead of time.

5. Wheeny Creek Campground

6. Mill Creek Campground

The Mill Creek Campground is the perfect base for anyone looking to clock in some serious bushwalking time.

Situated in the Dharug National Park, you’ll be able to set up your small caravan, campervan, camper trailers or tent before exploring the beautiful, lush forest surroundings. Once you’ve worked up a sweat, you’ll be able to cool off in the lower Hawkesbury River. Be sure to take some trusty insect repellant as mosquitoes can often be on the hunt in the area!
