Art is for Everyone: Free Autism Friendly Tours of the MCA

The Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA) is hosting a free weekend of inclusivity-focused tours, films and workshops.

Art is for Everyone celebrates the Museum’s commitment to access, diversity and inclusion.

Developed in collaboration with Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect), families can join MCA Artist Educators and Aspect volunteers for an Autism friendly gallery viewing, including visits to current MCA exhibitions and a film, Illuminating the Wilderness,  before engaging in hands-on art making in the Creative Studios.

Alternatively, families can set their own pace, finding a quiet spot in the National Centre for Creative Learning or in MCA's immersive Bella Room

The galleries will open early, ahead of the public opening hours,  with special way-finding and sensory stations set up to help neurodiverse families feel comfortable in the space.

Where:  MCA, 140 George Street, The Rocks

When:   28 & 29 September 2019, 11am–4pm
