Australian Museum & Powerhouse Museum Are Opening Their Doors For FREE

It's a weekend of bidding farewell and celebrating new openings as the Australian Museum and Powerhouse Museum open their doors for a FREE WEEKEND for 1 weekend only! 

It's your last chance to experience the magic of the Australian Museum before they close for a full 12 months of renovations, so you'll want to make a beeline one last time to their FREE weekend on 17 and 18 August. While we hate goodbyes, it's not all doom and gloom because the Powerhouse Museum will also be offering FREE entry on 17 & 18 August to commemorate the opening weekend of the Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year exhibition.

This year, the Powerhouse Museum will host the Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year 2019 exhibition, which will be open to the public on 16 August. Visitors to the exhibition will witness nature at its most dramatic, graceful and unexpected in this stunning collection of breathtaking photographs celebrating the natural heritage of the bioregions of Australia and New Zealand, the Antarctic and New Guinea.
