It's that time of the year again - when families, schools, and libraries across Australia celebrate the magic of the written word during Book Week. And the Book Week 2023 theme has been revealed!

Run by the Children's Book Council Of Australia, Book Week is always a magical time of the year for children to really let their imaginations run wild with costumes and school book fairs, and Book Week 2023 is set to be no different. 

So if you've got a particularly creative kid in your household, we're willing to bet they're getting super pumped for the Book Week events coming in August 2023 and chomping at the bit to find out what the theme for this year's Book Week is...

Book Week Theme 2023

The theme for Book Week 2023 is (drum roll, please!) "Read, Grow, Inspire."

This theme is at the heart of everything to do with Book Week, and this year's choice focuses on how literature has the capacity to develop a child's inner world and how it can plant the seed of inspiration for them to express their own creativity.

While Book Week costumes are of course a whole lot of fun and a great way to inspire a connection with literature, it's important to note that Book Week is about so much more than just costumes. Book Week is about recognising that with good literature, students can grow and flourish.
