Please note: Cumberland City Council has postponed the Lunar New Year celebrations, which was to be held in Auburn this Saturday, 1 February 2020 due to health concerns surrounding coronavirus.A new date for the event will be announced in the near future.

Lunar New Year 2020 is the Year of the Rat! In Chinese culture, rats were seen as a sign of wealth and surplus.

Come and enjoy an evening of free entertainment and activities to celebrate the start to the Year of the Rat in Auburn! Fun for seniors, children and family alike!

  •         Main stage cultural entertainment
  •         Join Kung Fu Panda and friends for his on-stage show and meet the star himself
  •         See the New Year’s lion dance
  •         Get your face painted in the animals of the Chinese zodiac
  •         Decorate your own porcelain rice bowl
  •         Plenty of food and free activities for all the family, including May’s Malaysian Hawker and Mix Mix Co Filipino desserts.
