Festival of the Winds 2020 Goes Virtual

For the first time in its colourful 42 year history, Bondi's annual Festival of the Winds is going online.

Taking to the skies and rising to fame as the largest kite-flying festival in Australia, this year's event will go virtual due to COVID-19 restrictions around public gatherings. The much-loved kite flying displays and live cultural events at iconic Bondi Beach will be replaced with fascinating online workshops and talks, live music performances and an online gallery. Learn how to make and fly a kite from your lounge room!

Like always, the festival promises to offer a day of fun activities for the whole family, so celebrate the start of spring in a whole new way - and get your photos ready to upload and share your most favourite memories of the festival.

Register now for FREE kids workshops including Pastel Drawing, Steampunk Posters and The Science of Flight.

In addition to the Sunday schedule, kite-making videos are available on-demand and there is a Green Electricity Talk on Thursday 10th September at 12:30
