Free Family Fun Day at NSW State Library

The State Library of NSW is holding a free family fun day on Saturday 12 October to celebrate the launch of its new Children’s Library.

Come along and enjoy a full day of activities, talks and tours for the whole family, from 10am to 4pm.

Meet everyone’s favourite blue heelers Bluey and Bingo, laugh your pants off with comedian and kids entertainer Sean Murphy, join the battle of the children’s authors with Matt Cosgrove, Yvette Poshoglian and Mick Elliot, and enjoy stories from across the world with the Spellbound Storytellers.

There’ll be drop-in craft activities, roaming book characters and film screenings.

Everyone is invited to the grand opening of the Children’s Library at 10.30am. This beautiful new maze-like space will be brimming with Australia’s best children’s books, as well as classics from overseas authors. Here, young readers and their families can get lost in the magic of books and stories.
