Night Owls Film Festival At Darling Harbour

Situated on Darling Quarter’s Village Green, Night Owls Kids Film Festival is back for the summer holidays, offering the whole family the chance to catch a free outdoor movie under the stars! 

The fun kicks off each evening at 6 pm, with a different entertainer every night to keep the kids fascinated, followed at 6:30 pm by fifteen minutes of the best short films made for, by, and about children in the Little Big Shots festival.

At 6:45 pm the full-length family feature lights up the screen, and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 8:30 pm it’s the older kids’ chance to enjoy the free movie program tailored just for them.

It’s an idyllic spot to enjoy a picnic on the green altogether or to use it as an excuse not to cook and instead pick something up form one of the nearby restaurants.

Grab a bit to eat from one of the precinct’s renowned eateries, with options including sushi (Umi Sushi), steaks (Stacks Bar), Thai (Nok Nok Thai Eating House), Brazilian BBQ (Braza Churrascaria), fish and chips (Taste), pizza (Vesta) and for dessert there’s gelato (Gelatissimo) or cake and chocolate (Guylian).

The programme includes classics such as Over the Hedge, as well as recent releases like Aladdin (2019), Toy Story 4, Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse, A Star is Born, Bohemian Rhapsody, Avengers: Endgame and more.
