Out Of This World Film Festival With FREE Kid❜s Activities And Movies

Out Of This World, presented by Environmental Film Festival Australia (EFFA), is a thought-provoking online program of films which has been carefully designed to foster connection and discussion in this digital world. Exploring new ideas about the Earth and outer space, the films are screened live and on demand for the whole family to enjoy.

The thought-provoking digital program addresses some of the current challenges we face - the COVID pandemic and ongoing environmental collapse - by uniting people around a singular mission: to ignite creativity and discovery at the crosshairs where technology, philosophy and art collide.

Spaceship Earth

The program offers a virtual social space to reimagine the future and our communities by reflecting on culture, science and ecology, and engages EFFA’s extensive network of environmental experts, artists and community organisations in mapping our collective recovery journey and building capacity to respond to future challenges.

The kids haven't been forgotten with free movies and things to do including the Academy Award-nominated anaimated masterpiece O Menino e o Mundo (Boy and the World) byBrazilian artist Alê Abreu, plus online workshops for  constructing a super-spiffy rocket ship and creating fun costumes and play ideas with stuff from the recycling bin. There's also a Future Inventors Competition!
