Parliament of NSW Family Fun Day

Running since 2010, the Parliament of NSW will host a Free Family Fun Day on 11 October inviting families into the Parliament for a range of activities and live music.

During the spring school holidays, the Parliament of NSW welcomes families through its grand doors to experience Family Fun Day - the Parliament’s annual family open day.

This year, Parliament’s Family Fun Day will be part of a Macquarie St celebration, alongside Family Fun Days hosted by the State Library of NSW and the Museums of History NSW.

The Parliament of NSW is a welcoming space for community involvement, a thriving home for democracy, and a place to showcase our culture and celebrate NSW.  The event offers a unique opportunity for young citizens, future leaders and their families to learn about democracy in NSW, and join in the fun free activities for families with children aged from 4 to 12 years.

It’s Free Family Fun at NSW Parliament!

The schedule of engaging and interactive entertainment and activities running throughout the day includes:

• Vote for me! A voting exercise with the NSW Electoral Commission
• The Campaign Room! Become a future member of Parliament on the election trail
• An opportunity for you to have a say in our mock committee hearings
• Art, craft, chamber tours and much more
• Performers, artists, musicians
• Enjoy delicious drinks as well as sweet and savoury delights at the on-site cafe

Book in for your activity sessions when you arrive. A ticket is required for each person over 4 years who is attending, and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. All events are fully accessible.
