Federal Park Skate Park & Playground

Glebe’s much-loved Federal Park unveiled a complete overhaul in July 2021, with large playground, skate park and 1,500 square metres of open space for community sports and recreation.

The skate plaza now has a series of ramps for all ages and levels of experience, with a mini skate ramp for those just learning.

The upgrade has also seen the opening of five of the archways of the Glebe railway viaduct.

And there’s also a much larger playground, surrounded by native trees and large law areas.

Newly Upgraded Federal Skate Park 

The playground has:

• Super-sized climbing frame with slide running from top.
• Large sandpit that’s fenced separate to the rest of the park for toddlers
• Wooden obstacle course
• Swing sets, two slides and carousel

There’s also plenty of seating, picnic areas and barbeques.

The work started in early 2021 but local councillors called for its speedy completion so Glebe residents had a space to exercise in lockdown.
