Vaucluse House & Gardens

If you’re looking for some peace and tranquility with young kids come here for a wander around the beautifully manicured gardens. You’ll find plenty of shade and a bounty of safe green grass to run around on, and here’s the best bit…. round the back there’s some pens with a couple of goats, some ducks, chickens and a bunny rabbit which your toddler will love.

Historic Vaucluse house itself is open at weekends and holidays and is a good option for a rainy day. The Tea Gardens Cafe is open Wednesday to Sunday to indulge in delicious afternoon cakes and scones.

Sunny mornings are just divine, you’ll be the only one there, quietest on Mon and Tuesdays when the café is shut. Ample parking, and toilets available in the gardens, inside the house and the café if it’s open.

Vaucluse house also hosts a number of family friendly events throughout the year, including storytime for kids and beautiful music events in the gardens. Watch our weekly diary for upcoming events.
