3. Baby-friendly Beaches

Aussie kids love the beach! It is nature's perfect playground, but little ones need special spots to explore the sand and sea.

Sydney's top beaches for toddlers and preschoolers include calm, protected bays, and swimming spots that are perfect for a baby's first dip in the ocean. Parents love them too!

4. Royal Botanic Garden

This botanical and cultural oasis is perfect for a picnic and an afternoon of imaginative play amongst the almost mystical bushes.

The Royal Botanic Garden is a haven full of expansive green spaces, vibrant blooms and natural wonders, and The Calyx hosts an array of vibrant flora-inspired exhibitions.

Active Baby Action

If your little tyke is fast on their feet, you need a fenced playground!

5. Playgrounds for Baby Walkers

As mums of new walkers will know, finding a playground that is fenced makes the whole outing so much easier. You’re not worrying constantly about your mini-Houdinis wandering off onto roads or other trouble.

Take a look at some of our favourite playgrounds in Sydney – they’re so good your little ones won’t even want to escape!

Ultimate Sydney in Northmead is a huge entertainment venue launched in 2016 by two mums who have seven children between them. It is home to Australia’s largest indoor play centre, divided in two, so little ones are kept safe and secure.

Their Kids World Play Centre (within the all-age facility) caters specifically for younguns 0 to five years.

7. Playgrounds in Shopping Centres

If the weather is pouring down or you can’t be bothered to go on a gruelling trek, then pop into your local shopping centre! You can do some shopping, get a coffee and let the kids go wild in the best playgrounds in shopping centres.

The bonus is that most of the indoor play areas are more suited for younger kids, so the older ones get bored and leave very quickly.

8. Mums & Bubs Movies

Take your baby with you and watch a great movie in your local cinema without any worries about your baby getting restless and disturbing the audience. That’s what Mums and Bubs movie sessions are designed for, and we’ve rounded up the best in Sydney.

9. Water Play Parks

If it's a hot summer's day, then scrap the adventure playgrounds and head straight to one of Sydney's best FREE water parks.
