Parramatta Park is already a great destination for kids, complete with picnic areas and plenty of green, open space. Paperbark Playground is just another awesome, kid-friendly addition - an area that’s inclusive, innovative and packed full of sensory experiences for kids of all ages.

Here’s everything you need to know about one of Sydney's favourite playgrounds, Paperbark Playground.

The Paperbark Playground Playspace

Paperbark Playground
Sandpits, climbing equipment and a music area—what more could you want from a playground?!

Hailed as an ultra-inclusive playground that caters to all ages and abilities, Paperbark Playground boasts the very latest in innovative equipment, ensuring that kids with varied mobility and those in wheelchairs can enjoy the playground too.

There’s a diverse range of swings, including a vortex swing, a tandem swing (where you and your little one can swing together) and a bucket swing for the young ones. The focal point of the park is an ‘explorer dome’ which boasts a huge maze of nets, ropes, ladders, balance beams and tunnels for kids to balance on, climb through and crawl along. And if you’re worried about your little ones falling over? Fret not! ‘Softfall’ pavements cover the playground floor, making it a much safer environment for little explorers!

In addition to the equipment, there’s also a huge sand and water play area that kids can interact with, including lots of buckets and wheels for them to explore, alongside a music area with chimes and drums plus plenty of sensory equipment. Basically, there’s something for all tastes at Paperbark Playground!
