The Scenic Rim's golden sunflower festival is back in 2024 at the Kalbar Sunflower Festival where - you guessed it - you can run through a field of sunflowers!

Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Scenic Rim Region, the Kalbar Sunflower Festival is the perfect day out for nature lovers. There will be over 1 million blooming sunflowers at the festival this year along with loads of other events and family-friendly activities.

The picture-perfect canvas of blossoming sunflowers against the clear-blue skies of the Scenic Rim awaits at the three-day festival. Running from 19-21 April, the Kalbar Sunflower Festival has a long lineup of activities for all to enjoy, including yoga, sound healing meditation, a giant maze, art classes, helicopter rides, sunflower photo opportunities, market stalls, face painting, kids' crafts, plus, a children's sensory and fairy garden.

Cost:        Adults $32 (includes a donation to the Mater Foundation Cancer Care Centre); $15 for teens aged 13-17; children 12 and under are FREE
