Aquatic Imaginarium at Australian National Maritime Museum

Because we like to be... under the sea!

At the Australian National Maritime Museum this January kids can step inside an indoor play and discovery space to encounter a wonderland of giant inflatables, evocative sensory installations, object storytelling and hands-on art-making activities.

Build the ship of your dreams with giant blue blocks, lie underneath misting jets and watch illuminated installations in the plankton forest sensory space, curate your own mini-museum with objects and specimens, turn ocean waste into a spectacular collaborative shark sculpture or make your own model boat, sculpture, print and more creative crafts to take home.

Also, on Sensory-Friendly Sundays, the Imaginarium will be open extra-early for a quieter experience that's modified to suit people on the autism spectrum and with a range of differing abilities.
