Book Week 2020 at Liverpool City Library

Celebrate Book Week online and at your local library. Meet award-winning author Jackie French, a stick insect or a possum and tune in for a special Book Week Storytime.

Get to know more about Jackie French, award-winning author of over 200 books.

Liverpool City Library is giving children the chance to ask Jackie French about her books and becoming a writer.

Submit your question before 5 October 2020 and the answers will be published on the Liverpool City Library website and social media pages over three days during Book Week.

Minibeasts And Many Books: 

Spot a real-life stick insect, praying mantis or spiny leaf insect. How many incredible insects can you find?

Book Week Storytime:

Join Liverpool City Library online for a special Storytime. You can also catch special Storytimes featuring CBCA shortlisted books at your local branch.

Age:        Suitable for ages 2+

Book Week - School's Out:

Drop in to make an unusual animal like in the Encyclopaedia of Ugly Animals, shortlisted for a CBCA award.

Where:    3.30pm - 4.30pm (Moorebank Library, Carnes Hill Library, Casula Library, Green Valley Library), 3.30pm - 5.30pm at Liverpool City Library
When:     Friday 23 October
Age:        Suitable for ages 5+

Curious Creature Talk:

Learn about curious Australian creatures. Meet a possum, a lizard and even a slithery snake!

Where:    Liverpool City Library
When:     Friday 23 October, 4pm - 4.30pm, 4.45pm - 5.15pm, 5.30pm - 6pm. Limit of 20 people per 30 minute sessions.
Age:        Suitable for ages 3+
