Emerge Festival 2017 in Sydney❜s North Shore

An exciting program of more than 30 events has been announced for the North Shore’s much loved Emerge Festival this September.

The North Shore’s biggest and best street party, the Chatswood Street Fair will be held 10am - 4pm, Saturday 2 September. Watch the colourful street parade and wander the great variety of market stalls. Enjoy entertainment throughout the day on the numerous stages featuring big bands, dance shows, kid’s performances and more. There are also kids’ movies on the giant outdoor Urban Screen, face painting and roving circus entertainment.

There's great kids shows, with stage show Room on the Broom at The Concourse (26 - 28 September), and puppet theatre from Jeral Puppets (various dates through September).

This year the Festival welcomes back a local favourite event, the Willoughby Craft Beer Festival (10 September), showcasing craft beers with food stalls, live music and kid’s entertainment.

The Naremburn Progress Association will bring the community together for a screening of the film, Paddington (Saturday 16 September). There will also be a bear drawing competition, marmalade tastings and a prize for the best-dressed bear.

The pop-up Oasis is also back to round out a great month of events. The Oasis provides a relaxing space to rejuvenate in the Chatswood CBD amongst the spring sunshine – at The Concourse (27 - 29 September). Think deck chairs, umbrellas, music, entertainment, interactive kid’s activities like face painting and a pop-up library, movies on the Urban Screen and more.
