Little Sydney Lives Photography Competition

The Little Sydney Lives Photography Competition has returned for 2023, and the City of Sydney is inviting all young shutterbugs aged 3 to 12 years to participate in this exciting event.

Whether it's fantastical, botanical, filled with sibling rivalry, splashy, or just an everyday scene, they are seeking vibrant, candid, and thought-provoking images that capture the unique perspectives of Sydney's young residents.

Unleash Your Child's Creativity: Little Sydney Lives Photography Competition 2023

From 14 September to 8 October, an eye-catching large-format outdoor gallery will exhibit the works of 20 talented junior photographers, showcasing the creativity and artistic vision of Sydney's youth.

This wonderful opportunity not only provides exposure for these young photographers but also inspires others to explore their own photographic talents and appreciate the city's beauty from fresh viewpoints.

Entries will be judged in two age categories: 3 to 7 years and 8 to 12 years.

Prizes:

• The grand prize winner in each category will receive a gift valued at $500.
• The runner-up prize winner in each category will receive a gift valued at $250. Winners will be announced during the exhibition's opening night on Thursday, 15 September.

Eligibility:

• Open to children living in Sydney aged 3 to 12 years.

Deadline:

• Submit your best shots by midnight on Sunday, 21 May 2023.

Submission Guidelines:

• JPEG (.jpg) format
• Maximum file size: 5MB
• Landscape orientation
• Color or black and white
• Up to 2 images per entrant

Winners announced:

• Winners will be announced on 14 September 2023.
