Sydney Olympic Park Quaycentre - Summer School Holiday Programs 2022-2023

There’s a summer sport for everyone at Quaycentre Sydney Olympic Park. From Basketball, Netball and Soccer to Table Tennis and an All Day Multi Sports Program and experience a program of different sports for the day.

These Sports Clinics will get your child off their screens and up and running. They also create good habits such as teamwork, coordination, learning or improving skills and most of all, having fun and making new friends!  

Soccer - Wanderers in the Park

In partnership with Western Sydney Wanderers, this beginner/intermediate program will ensure participants have a great time developing their football skills. All participants will receive a Wanderers training jersey.

Clinics are aimed towards players who are starting to enhance their football skills in a dynamic, high-quality session with fully qualified and highly experienced coaches. 

Session Details

Sessions are heavily focused on technique, game understanding, improving confidence, and providing a great experience. In this program, players will go through the most diverse game scenarios, further enhancing their decision-making ability and execution of the above skills. 

At the end of this clinic, the goal is to have participants comfortably perform all four technical components of football – passing, shooting, controlling the ball and dribbling. 

Participants are advised to wear comfortable sports clothes and running shoes (no football boots) and bring lunch, snacks, a water bottle, a hat and sunscreen.

When:    Monday 16 - Tuesday 17 January 2023, 9 am - 3 pm  
Cost:    $170 for 2 days or $95 for 1 day - Includes a Wanderers training jersey

 

Basketball - MyHoops

Come and play basketball these holidays with NBL champion and former professional basketballer Bruce Bolden and his team from My Hoops. Improve your game through skill development, drills and games. 

Program Details

This program is suitable for beginners and advanced players. 

By coming for either one or two days, participants will: 

• Learn to interact and operate in a basketball team
• Understand strategy 
• Fostering team spirit. 

At the end of the program, kids will get the chance to have a Q&A with Bruce to ask for advice or about his stellar basketball career. Each child will receive a FREE basketball!

Where:  Quaycentre, Olympic Boulevard Sydney Olympic Park
When:    Monday 23 January - Tuesday 24 January 2023, 9 am - 3 pm
Cost:    $190 for 2 days or $110 for 1 day. Includes a basketball

 

 

Netball - Captain's Class

Join Australian Diamond and Sydney Swift's netballer, Paige Hadley, for an exciting and rejuvenated netball clinic. Come along and improve your skills, learn new ones and develop your game with one of Australia's best. 

Program Details

Suitable for players of all skill levels and experience. 

The session will cover netball skills, including:  

• Ball handling 
• Passing 
• Attack and defence 
• Fitness for netball and match play

At the end of the program, kids will have the opportunity to ask Paige about her illustrious professional and international career and then have their photos taken with her. 

Note: Participants are advised to wear comfortable sports clothes and running shoes and bring along a water bottle and anything you might ask Paige to sign.

Table Tennis - Hot Shots

Improve your table tennis game with the new Hot Shots program!

Running in conjunction with Table Tennis NSW, experienced coaches will lead children through various games and activities to develop their table tennis skills. Suitable for players of all abilities aged 8 - 15 years.

Where:  Quaycentre, Olympic Boulevard Sydney Olympic Park
When:   Thursday, 19 January 2023, 9 am - 3 pm
Cost:   $80 (includes bat and ball)

 

All-Day Multi-Sport Camp

This camp is aimed at school-age students of all abilities aged between 5-12 years who would like to ‘have a go’ and give something new a try. Sports include but are not limited to table tennis, soccer, basketball, netball and gymnastics, all under one roof.

Participants, please wear comfortable clothing, including running shoes, and bring along lunch, snacks and a drink bottle. Note children must be currently attending school.

When:   10, 11, 23 & 27 January 2023, 9 am - 3 pm
