F.S. Garside Opens New Sports Field, Playground & BMX Pump Track

Ready, set, play! The revamped F.S. Garside is here, and it's bringing some serious fun to the City of Parramatta. After a whopping $17 million makeover courtesy of the NSW Government, this 3-hectare park has been transformed into a multi-purpose wonderland that's perfect for families, sports enthusiasts, and even our furry friends.

Brand-New Family Playground

It's out with the old (playground) and in with the new (playground) where energetic kids can play until the sun goes down. The new playground caters to children 12 and under with a large play tower, a cubby house, a flying fox, slides, nature play elements, and more. 
 

And for the daredevils in the family, the cool new BMX pump track is guaranteed to get the adrenaline pumping. 

Sports Lovers, Rejoice!

While the lush natural turf sports fields are still settling in (they'll be ready for action soon), the new spectator areas and amenities are already in place, making it the ideal spot for local sporting events. Test your skills on the new table tennis tables!
 

A Park for Everyone – Including Pooches!

And let's not forget our four-legged friends! F.S. Garside now boasts an enclosed off-leash dog park where pups can run free and have a blast with their human pals. The park's green makeover includes over 160 trees, 130 shrubs, and a whopping 26,600 groundcover plants, creating a lush and inviting space that's only going to get greener with time.

The new F.S. Garside Park is located at 1 Onslow St, Granville and opened to the public on 21 August 2024.
