Play Date is a flexible childcare service for busy parents needing child-minding support in the local community.

As the first of its kind in Bondi, Play Date provides a neighbourhood creche specialising in occasional care services tailored for children aged 12 months and above. Guided by skilled early childhood educators, the centre offers children the opportunity to explore, experiment, discover, and think creatively through various activities including art, fitness, music, science, and play.

"At Bondi's only drop & go creche, we offer our community of parents an opportunity to carve out some time for themselves," says Michelle Sarich, Director of Play Date. "Whether it's a last-minute work meeting, a hairdressing appointment, or simply a desire to try out a new fitness class, we provide the flexibility parents need to take care of themselves while ensuring their children are in safe hands."

Behind Play Date stands Michelle Sarich, a qualified teacher with extensive experience in childcare. Alongside managing her own care centre in Bondi, Michelle successfully oversees four other family care centres, dedicated to providing exceptional care and nurturing environments for children.

The Play Date Space

The large and beautiful space offers a range of options to spark your kids' imaginations and creativity. Amenities include indoor gym equipment, dramatic play areas, role-playing spaces, water play, a sand pit, arts & crafts stations, and sensory activities. Party Venue Hire at Play Date

Take the stress out of finding the perfect venue for your child’s next party and consider the Play Date space. With all facilities included and a spacious stage, let your imagination run wild! Perfect for guest entertainers and with ample room for parents and kids to have fun, there is availability on Saturdays and Play Date offers exclusive use of the space. Tailored for kids up to 7 years old, with a capacity for 30 children.

Play Date School Holiday Program

The Play Date school holiday programs are 6-hour drop-off sessions for 4-7-year-olds. In these programs, kids can expect to get messy, learn new things, get creative and most of all have heaps of fun.

Play Date Location and Cost

Play Date is located at 34 Ocean Street North, Bondi, 2026. Sessions vary in cost depending on length and the number of children in your booking. 

Weekly Sessions are $25 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours. There's a 20% discount for additional children (friends/family, etc.).

On Saturdays, the rate is $20 per hour with a minimum booking of 3 hours. For one child, it's $60, and for two children, it's $100.

Super Hero Saturdays

From 27 July 2024, Saturdays will be super hero themed! Come dressed as your favourite super hero and join an action-packed three-hour session featuring engaging activities, special guests, and exciting party bags. Plus, meet Spiderman and enjoy a FREE sausage sizzle. Parents are welcome to join in or take the opportunity to drop off their little ones for some well-deserved time to themselves. $60 for one child | $100 for two. It's like a mini-party every weekend! 

Note: Parents must provide children with a water bottle, snack and change of clothes.
