SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium

Embark on a journey of amazing discovery through SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium’s extraordinary themed zones including the newest zone Day and Night on the Reef - embark on a colourful journey of the Great Barrier Reef with state of the art technology, a 1.7 million litre display and over 500 creatures.

Get face-to-fin with over 13,000 animals from 700 different species such as resident dugong Pig to learn all about his rescue story. Face your fears at Shark Valley and walk amongst jaw-some sharks!

There are some great discounts for parent/child combos on weekdays. You’ll also find a good cafe and an excellent gift shop.

Ellaslist Opinion: SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is excellent for mums and bubs, all areas are easily accessed with a pram and even the tiniest baby enjoys gazing at the creatures behind the glass. Toddlers have plenty of room to run and explore (especially on weekdays) and pre-schoolers and up love trying to find Nemo and discovering other fish and sea creatures they recognise. Beware of all the merchandise, it's easy to spend a fortune on your way out but the main gift shop does stock some very good quality sea-themed books and toys. Highly recommended for a great family outing, especially on a rainy day!

Admission: Adult from $39.20 Child (3+) $28 (Online prices). Annual Pass (including entry to WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo, Sydney Tower Eye and Madame Tussauds Sydney) Adult from $80, Child from $65

Facilities: There are baby change facilities at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and all areas are accessible with a pram. There is an onsite café – fine for the basics but they don’t offer a lot of healthy options for kids.
