Sydney❜s First Birdie❜s Mini Golf Bar is a Whole Vibe

From Holey Moley to Archie Brothers and B. Lucky & Sons, Sydney is no stranger to playing mini-golf with a cocktail in hand.

Yep, Sydneysiders love to get festive with a tipple or two when trying to hit a hole-in-one, which is exactly the vibe at Sydney's first Birdie's Mini Golf Bar that's part family-friendly mini golf venue, part sports bar, and a whole lot of fun!

Sydney's First Birdie's Mini Golf Bar is a Whole Vibe

If you've never heard of the Birdie's Mini Golf franchise, that's probably because only a few exist in Australia. Victoria's Forest Hill venue was the first to open in Australia in 2021 and took the indoor golfing scene by storm, so much so that the chain decided to open another one in Sydney just a year later.

The second Birdie's Mini Golf Bar opened at Top Ryde City in 2022 and offers putters the chance to mingle their love of playing mini-golf with their love of enjoying a beer with mates at a trendy sports bar. 

The massive development was a year in the making at Top Ryde City, which transformed four stores into one mega 18-hole indoor golf course. The sprawling 750-metre site has a restaurant and bar featuring 18 beers on tap, plus, wines and cocktails, a full menu of tasty eats, and live sports on the big screen. 

According to the venue's Mini Golf director Stephanie Doyle, "The venue was designed to stand out in the increasingly competitive indoor sport and recreation market currently dominated by players such as Timezone and Holey Moley. Birdie's is about the full experience – there are 18 holes, there's a lot to play and visually it’s more of a high-spec environment and much more glamorous."

And as for the mini golf, it could be one of the most challenging courses in Sydney - have you ever hit a golf ball through a basketball hoop?!

The whole 18-hole course is indoors and has a funky industrial vibe plus a few themed courses, including Sydney icons like the Opera House.

Birdie's is located at Top Ryde Shopping Centre and is open 7 days a week from 12 pm till late. 

Under 18s mini-golf is open daily before 8 pm. Kids must be accompanied by an adult after 8 pm.
