The Belvedere Hotel, Woody Point

If you venture north of Brisbane to the Redcliffe Peninsula, you can’t go past The Belvedere Hotel. The massive venue is as huge as it is old. Established 1901, The Bel, as it’s called by the locals, is spread across three venues on the waterfront, boasting killer views from the ample deck space. There’s the pub for a casual drink and screens aplenty to get your sports fix, the café for a more cosmopolitan dining experience to enjoy a scrumptious brunch and the recently renovated restaurant/bar. Each space offers a very different atmosphere to suit every mood and crowd.

Kid’s Area

One of the best features of the Belvedere (there are many) is the closed in play area for kids. Located in the back of the restaurant, the impressive kids’ area is located right near an arcade with a few games, keeping kids of all ages entertained. Kids can grab an activity pack with pencils, puzzles and stickers, or they can get a bucket of chalk and unleash their creative skills on the chalk wall. What ever they choose to do, The Belvedere has gone to great lengths to make sure the kids are having fun and leaving the grown ups to have their own fun.

The friendly staff love the kids and have a great, carefree attitude. It’s a dog friendly venue so you can take the whole family.

Best Food in Town

The Belvedere is renowned for it’s amazing food and impressive selection of fresh produce. Boasting the freshest seafood options (the seafood hamper is glorious) and arguably the greatest steak this side of Brisbane, that alone is an impressive feat. Add to that Al’s Pizzeria (available Wednesday to Sunday) serving up delicious wood fired pizza, healthy and indulgent brunch options, delicious share platters and massive bar snacks, the huge menu is guaranteed to have something for every taste, anytime of day. The coffee is great too.

Date Night

Wednesday nights are wings night and trivia. What is that you ask? All the fun of trivia with beer towers that come with a free kilo of chicken wings! An absolute hoot and a hilarious crowd for a cruisy evening. My first time at trivia happened to be Valentines Day and a young gent behind me placed a beer tower and huge bowl of wings on the table proclaiming to his lady love, “Happy Valentine’s Day baby”, and honestly, #relationshipgoals

For something a little more romantic, you can get a table for two on the deck and enjoy a sumptuous seafood meal, matched with a huge wine selection, overlooking the water. If beer isn’t your thing but you like the idea of a huge amount of booze on the table, you can order a cocktail balloon and choose from a variety of gorgeous cocktails.

Family Dinner

With the kid’s area, loads of tasty meal options for the kids to eat and a quick turnaround time for the food to get to the table, The Belvedere is a great option for quick bite after a day at the beach. The restaurant/bar is a massive venue that caters for weddings and parties with 100’s of guests. So, you know they are more than capable of feeding the masses. The large space in the restaurant allows for a big group to get together and enjoy having ample space. The very reasonably priced meals are a generous size, cooked to perfection and served with a smile.

For more of an intimate catch up, brunch with your girlfriends is ideal in the café with super comfy chairs and the same gorgeous views.

Sunsets for Days

Not many places on the East Coast can lay claim to sunsets in the ocean. The Belvedere Hotel is one of those rare gems. Located on the most Southern tip of the peninsula, grab your drink of choice, get one of the many tables on the deck and drink in the spectacular sunset views.
