What to See in Kyneton

Kyneton is home to historical buildings and natural attractions, and there's plenty to fill your day with.

  • Kyneton Botanical Gardens, on the banks of the Campaspe River
  • Kyneton Mineral Springs, stop by and have a picnic or BBQ
  • Go for a stroll along Piper Street - the main street of Kyneton is a view in itself with its heritage Victorian-era facades
  • See the Kyneton War Memorial

What to Do in Kyneton

  • Campaspe River Walk alongside the Botanical Gardens, an interesting walk along the River and passes through the wonderful Sculpture Park near Quarry Reserve
  • Visit Kyneton Museum - housed in a bluestone building built in 1856, the museum features local history displays, changing exhibitions, art work and outdoor exhibits including agricultural equipment and stables
  • Head over to Works of Art Gallery
  • Visit the renowned Spring Hill Peony flower Farm, which sells directly from the farm gate and has open days and picnics in the Peony Paddock in November.
