1. Visit Berry Historic Museum
First up on our list of things to do in Berry, The Berry Historic Museum is well worth a stop-off and the perfect chance to soak up the local history.
It's free of charge, and boasts an extensive collection of artefacts, memorabilia, photographs and records, and even a 'please, do touch' room for kids to get hands-on! Type on an old typewriter, check out uniforms from World War I and be sure to check out the kitchen, preserved in the style of an era gone by.

2. Go for a Picnic at Apex Park
In the mood for a picnic? Apex Park in the town centre is the perfect spot to lay down a blanket and enjoy a yummy picnic.
Aside from its convenient location in the centre of town where you can do some decent people-watching and enjoy the hustle and bustle of beautiful Berry, Apex Park's gorgeous gardens and rotunda make it such an idyllic spot for picnicking!

3. Play at Boongaree Rotary Nature Play Park

Visiting Boongaree Rotary Nature Play Park is one of the best things to do in Berry when you've got active kids in tow. The mega playground was built in 2022 and has since become one of the best playgrounds in regional NSW. With flying foxes, sensory play areas, swings, slides, climbing nets, exercise equipment, and separate play zones for big and little kids, there's plenty to keep the kids occupied at Boongaree Rotary Nature Play Park.

For over 56 years the Famous Berry Donut Van has been perfecting their warm cinnamon donuts. The van once toured Australia, bestowing its doughy goodness across the country, but now it calls Berry its permanent home. Be sure to stop off here for a mid-adventure pick-me-up!

5. Soak up History at the Courthouse

The gardens of the Berry Courthouse are a top wedding venue, and well worth a stroll during your mini getaway. You'll see Manchurian pear trees, old Camellias, green hedges, granite pathways, fragrant blooms in the spring and stunning amber colours in the Autumn - a total feast for your senses. You'll definitely have to take a snap of the courthouse's exterior face, which is classic Greek revival architecture. Pure serenity!

6. Splash at Seven Mile Beach
If you want to breathe in some fresh coastal air while you're visiting, look no further than the beautiful Seven Mile Beach Sand Track Walk.
Easy enough for the whole family, this level walk wanders among the forest of majestic tall blackbutt trees, before arriving in the middle of Seven Mile Beach—halfway between Gerroa and Shoalhaven Heads. Here, you can admire the golden stretch of beach stretching out in both directions. Enjoy a swim here before retracing your steps or wandering back along the beach!

Stopping off at the Berry Markets is a great outing if you're in town on the weekend. Berry Showground comes alive on the first Sunday of the month when over 200 stallholders set up shop selling everything from fresh produce to artisan homewares, craft goods, scented candles, baked treats, fresh bread, collectibles, books, plants, and plenty more!
